This is a project of built-in intervention - a hotel in the building of today‘s brewery - an original industrial building from the beginning of the last century. Originally the building was used for the production of ceramic elements. The concept of the solution is based on the installation of contrast boxes into the existing premises of the original storage space in the attic. Inserted boxes newly organize attic spaces, define common spaces and hotel rooms. Added elements respect the existing building structure and also enter the dialog with the existing wooden structure of the roof truss and roof dominating skylights. The space is presented as the white color boxes sailing over the rusty floor. The existing roof trusses are left in the space as some statues-objects: which are located in the common spaces and next to the walls in the rooms. They also stand alone in the interior of some bathrooms. The window at the end of the corridor opens a view on the factory chimney. Steel staircase is the dominant of the entrance corridor. The material solution refers to the industrial atmosphere of the place - the perimeter walls of the building are made of brick masonry, the floor of the whole space is solved in shade of rust, the walls in concrete gray, the access staircase with the surface of the tear plates, the entrance part of the object in the corten steel plates and the paving from the original ceramic bricks. The interior of the rooms is simple with custom made wooden furniture, the bathrooms have a consistently white interior and wooden washbasin, somewhere with a wooden pillar. The design proposal also includes the interior orientation system, the concept of room design is based on the selection of different beer types offered in the brewery. Each room has a unique name and a number corresponding to the type and degree of offered beer, accompanied by its characteristics.
