Developed on land located on Avenida das Nações Unidas, the Parque da Cidade project is part of the revitalization of a degraded area of the city, with the potential to become a new business center in São Paulo.
The buildings are positioned around a large open space, the park, which runs diagonally across the lot and serves as the connecting axis for the entire project. The commercial buildings are located between the park and the expressway, on an east/west axis, with facades facing north and south, ensuring natural lighting, less heat, and offering distant views. At the far end of the site, a hotel, now the JW Marriott São Paulo, and the Parque da Cidade shopping mall were built.
The architectural language is characterized by angular volumes at its crown. These have varying heights and when juxtaposed generate ascending and descending lines in the city skyline, reinforcing the identity of the set.
The project comprises ten buildings: a five-star hotel tower, a new mall, five corporate towers, a commercial tower and two residential towers. The complex proposes a perfect integration between private and public external spaces. An area of 62.000 m² is open to the public: a linear park with restaurants, sidewalks, bike paths, reflecting pools, a playground, among other attractions, integrated into a green area of approximately 22.000 m².
The City Park follows all the principles of sustainability, evident even in its implementation concept, which emphasizes its sustainable character, and it has become a highlight for being the first in Latin America to receive the LEED for Neighborhood Development certification (2015), awarded to projects that bring positive impacts to their surroundings.
