The traditional mountain lodge in Selva di Val Gardena, South Tyrol, sits directly on the Dantercepies ski slope at 2,130 meters. From its sun terrace, guests enjoy stunning views of the Dolomites, stretching from the Sassolungo to the Sciliar and Cir peaks.
Run by the Mussner family since 1963, the lodge was extensively renovated for its 60th anniversary in 2023. Designed by Perathoner Architects, the rebuild embraced a traditional alpine style that blends naturally into the landscape. Local materials such as larch wood and stone create a sustainable, warm, and welcoming atmosphere.
The two-level lodge now offers around 120 seats across dining areas, along with a bar and kitchen. The interiors—down to the furniture, lighting, and fabrics—were carefully designed, with bespoke details like custom-made chairs and barstools. Modernized facilities and energy-efficient construction complete the transformation.
