A PHIUS-certified passive house in Olivebridge, New York. PLANS Architects designed and managed the full construction of this energy-efficient home, achieving 80% less energy consumption than code minimum. The building envelope features dense-pack cellulose insulation, triple-glazed windows, and an airtightness of 0.25 ACH — among the tightest in the Hudson Valley. Exterior cladding is Siberian Larch. The home uses a mechanical heat recovery ventilation system to maintain air quality without energy loss. This project demonstrates PLANS' deep expertise in passive house design and PHIUS certification across residential new construction in Upstate New York.
