In addition to a new villa, a vintage car garage should also be built on the existing generously dimensioned property. The client's wish was to create a building whose main facade is clearly visible from the terrace of the villa, but otherwise appears as inconspicuous as possible within the outdoor area from all other sides.
The interior of a total of 120 square meters of usable space is not only intended as a place to store cars and vintage motorcycles, but also as a workshop and lounge for the owner and his visitors. The support-free roof construction consists of laminated trusses, each with a steel tie in the middle of the ridge.
The first layer of beams also serves as a load-bearing structure for a footbridge that can be walked on, from which the vintage exhibits can also be viewed from above. The transparent shop window-like gates with steel rungs are intended to further reinforce the loft character of the interior.
