MGA | Michael Green Architecture is an architecture and design firm creating innovative projects that push the boundaries of technology, sustainability, and construction to benefit communities and environments around the world.
The practice was founded in 2012 by Michael Green, who now leads the studio alongside fellow Principal Natalie Telewiak. Their team of talented and experienced architects and designers is bound by a shared drive to create meaningful projects that contribute to a better future.
A leader in timber and bio-based construction and innovation, MGA coined the term 'mass timber' and has completed some of the most significant timber buildings and large-scale sustainable developments ever built, ranging from cultural installations and private homes to residential masterplans and university campuses.
MGA has been recognized with over fifty international awards for design excellence, lecture internationally on construction and design innovation - including two TED talks 'The Natural Building Blocks of Architecture' in 2023 and 'Why We Should Build Wooden Skyscrapers' in 2013 - and serve as government and non-profit advisors on creating a more sustainable future.
The team are consistently pushing forward into new areas of sustainable technology, demonstrated by the creation of FIVE, a new structural building system, and are passionate about social, environmental, and political activism within the building industry.
Everyone at MGA believes that it is their responsibility to use their skills and imagination to create spaces, ideas, technology, and awareness that support the health and wellbeing of both people and planet.
