A Boutique Refuge in the Mountains of El Sunzal
Perched on the hillside of El Sunzal, El Salvador, this boutique hospitality project unfolds on a 600 m² site carefully intervened to preserve the essence of its natural surroundings. The site’s main trees were preserved, becoming a fundamental part of the circulation and of the introspective spirit that guides the experience. Here, architecture does not impose itself—it adapts, frames, and engages in dialogue with the landscape.
The design follows a clear vision: to create a timeless retreat where time stands still and inner magic unfolds. Defined by a delicate brutalist aesthetic, the project blends materials such as concrete, wicker, and golden details to create contrast and depth.
Each unit features a private pool, open-air showers, and views that invite contemplation. The amenities—including a sauna, a contemplation garden, and a yoga space—complement a concept that seeks more than rest; it seeks transformation.
