Sited at the foot of a scenic mountain, the residence faces a mountain stream and dense bamboo groves. Responding to the unique natural context, the design divides the volume into two parts. The base, accommodating communal family spaces, extends horizontally and incorporates landscapes into the building through colonnades and semi-open courtyards. Private living quarters are arranged in a slender volume above the base. Double-sloped roofs echo local architectural features, while freely arranged openings maximize visual integration with nature. Three courtyards of varying scales on the base layer deliver abundant natural views and enclosed privacy for daily life.
