A residential development project was developed on a one-hectare plot in the Silesian Beskids, nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains, meadows, and forests. Although the plot was large, it had its limitations. The proximity of a forest, a landscape park, floodplains, and overhead power lines limited the available development space.
This single-story single-family home was designed for a young family of four. The house measures 136 m² with an unused attic. This space accommodates a large living area, consisting of an open-plan kitchen with a dining area and a living room with a total area of 44 m², as well as four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a walk-in closet, a laundry room, a pantry, and a utility room. The functional layout ensures comfortable living for the entire family.
The house is divided into two living areas with a large covered terrace and a bedroom area slightly separated from the living area. The building's form is simple and timeless. The roof structure is made of prefabricated trusses, which contributes to the cost-effectiveness of the solution and speed of construction.
Additionally, a detached single-car garage with storage space for garden tools and equipment is located on the plot. Like the main building, the garage has an extended roof, providing two additional covered parking spaces.
The buildings are simple in form, yet timeless, in keeping with the current design trend – a Modern Barn, or rather, two. Finished with traditional materials – plastered walls with decorative slate/sandstone elements, and flat cement roof tiles, with wooden shading elements.
