The personal collection, created in memory of scholar Mirella Faur, is a space dedicated to contemplation and the welcoming of close family and friends. Designed to reflect the knowledge acquired throughout the writer’s life, the environment houses a collection of books covering various themes. The project includes an entrance area, a library collection area, and a bathroom. The floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, which organize the books, integrate harmoniously with the doors leading to the bathroom and the room’s entrance, creating a sense of continuity and unity within the space. The bathroom, with its custom cabinetry, combines aesthetics and functionality, accommodating personal items and room maintenance supplies. The window ledge contributes to a cozy atmosphere and offers a place for contemplation of the room’s view.A functional island, designed for the display of certificates and important books, also serves as storage support. This element combines practical functionality with aesthetic presence, reinforcing the contemplative nature of the space.
