This project was born from a comprehensive city wide needs assessment study developed by Brinkley Sargent Architects. Proposed priority projects included the need to address the deficiencies in the crowded existing City Hall which housed City Administration as well as Police. The redevelopment plan for the City of Mesquite included developing a new Municipal Campus in two phases with Police completed first followed by a new City Hall and Court Building. The buildings were master planned in campus setting adjacent to one another with park elements surrounding the building. The new Police Headquarters houses police administration, crime lab, evidence processing and storage, holding, records, homeland security, emergency operations center, communications, and an exercise facility. The buildings are designed to meet LEED Silver Certification. Phase Two Mesquite City Hall is currently under construction.
