ingenhoven architects has been commissioned with the extension and modernization of the Lanserhof Lans in Austria, where the LANS Med Concept has its origin. Regarding the extension, it is planned to add a new oval building with 16 rooms and suites south of the main building. Some of the rooms will have a private roof terrace covered with greenery. Spacious balconies will offer a panoramic view of the stunning landscape from the Nordkette to the Tyrolean mountains in the south. The new facilities include a bathhouse with a sauna area, a heated indoor and outdoor salt water pool and new treatment rooms. The health-promoting architecture emphasises research in building biology to ensure its compatibility with health aims. Analogous to the Lanserhof Tegernsee, the architectural decisions made by ingenhoven architects are consistent with the criteria of the German Sustainable Building Council (DNGB). Since its opening in 2014, the Lanserhof Tegernsee has been honoured with a steady stream of national and international awards.
