The Laminated Bamboo Collection was the first cold-formed bent bamboo contract furniture collection in the world. A collaboration between Summit Design and Smith and Fong Plyboo, I worked with both companies and Taiwanese "National Treasure" bamboo craftsman Larry Liu to develop the technology and the pieces. It won an IDSA Industrial Design Excellence Award for Environmental Strategies, Industrial Design Society of America, 1997.
