The Kalardasht villa is located on an 880 m2 plot of land in the foothills of the Alborz mountains, in Kalardasht.
Based on the client's requirements, which included:
1. Designing two separate villa units within a single building,
2. Emphasizing the separation of public and private spaces,
3. Maximizing views of the surrounding forests,
The overall design concept for the Kalardasht villa involves combining two volumes with different dimensions and functions, with the following characteristics:
• The larger volume, oriented southward, consists of the villa's public and semi-public spaces, intended for common use and to take advantage of the forest views.
• The smaller volume, located on the north of the site, contains the villa’s private spaces with separate entrances.
In the initial phase, the roofs were designed with a sloped, sustainable approach to facilitate the collection and storage of rainwater, which could then be used for purposes such as washing, sanitation, and landscape irrigation. Additionally, the height created by the sloped roof enhances the quality of space in the villa’s public areas, with a staircase employed on the first floor to manage changes in elevation.
