Single house in the countryside for a young couple. The project idea was to create a pure volume, which follows the archetype of the monolithic house. The pre-exisiting 1960s house was partially demolished, keeping two concrete and stone elements. The new building is integrated with the context by aligning itself with the surrounding buildings and keeping the existing volumetric hierarchy intact through a functional internal spatial arrangement. Particular attention was paid to the study of the gable roof. The main body of the building, where the idea of a house is archetyped to the maximum, is surrounded by a large slab supported by simple elements, both in reinforced concrete cast on site on osb wooden formwork. Inside, the spaces are optimized to accommodate the young family.
