Hotel Stella – Tradition Renewed in the Heart of the Dolomites
In Selva di Val Gardena, directly on the slopes of the legendary Sellaronda, Hotel Stella combines centuries of tradition with contemporary comfort. First mentioned in 1779 and owned by the Demez family since 1900, the hotel has been repeatedly expanded and modernized, most recently with a major renovation in 2022.
Planned by Perathoner Architects, the project included a partial rebuild of the historic structure, a redesign of the 1960s wing, and the renewal of 35 rooms and suites. The dining room, kitchen, and wellness facilities were also upgraded, while a new ski room was added.
The architecture harmonizes with its Alpine setting through natural materials and elegant details such as floral balcony railings that reinterpret Art Nouveau traditions. Inside, a holistic design concept creates warm, refined spaces where every detail is carefully crafted.
Blending heritage and innovation, Hotel Stella offers guests an authentic and unforgettable Dolomite experience.
