Located in the heart of the Sierra de Montserrat Natural Park, just a few kilometers from Barcelona, lies the historic 15th-century farmhouse now transformed into the Can Farrés Hotel.
The landscape intervention in the outdoor spaces has been undertaken with the intent to empathize with the existing landscape, and all the natural forces and cultural traditions that have shaped it throughout its history. The use of conglomerate stone, so characteristic of the Montserrat Mountain Natural Park, as well as ceramic materials and metal trellises, used for generations in this agricultural landscape, characterizes the diversity of seating areas around the old farmhouse, which has now been converted into a small rural hotel.
The proposal seeks to connect with the place by highlighting its geological construction, spiritual allure, and respect for the agricultural environment, thus restoring the links between architecture and landscape that have always characterized the construction of this territory.
