The Hotel Granbaita, a third-generation family-run retreat in the heart of Selva Val Gardena, is surrounded by the UNESCO-listed Dolomites. A beloved destination year-round, the hotel underwent a major renovation in 2019 to unify its design and give it a contemporary character.
The project included demolishing and rebuilding balconies, cladding, and roof, while adding a curved single-storey extension that now houses reception, bar, lounge, dining room, and a gourmet area. With floor-to-ceiling glazing and dark larch wood accents, the extension has become the hotel’s architectural hallmark.
Upgraded to 5-star status, the Granbaita combines timeless elegance with natural materials such as smoked oak, grey stone, and local fabrics. The cohesive design flows through the modernized wellness area and 35 newly designed luxury rooms and suites, creating a refined yet welcoming atmosphere.
