The inner city of Münster with its historical and special alley-system, represents the city-centered core requirement for the new business and residential housing estate "Hanse Carré". The aim is to acknowledge history, support vitality and promote the future.
Two building blocks as solitaires in the path system have been added and fixed by a congenial glass pavilion.
The architectonic archetypus of the town is the structure of gabled-houses in manifold forms. Based on this type, the new building concept deliberately focuses on small-scale facades. As an abstract quote the medieval scale is taken up and a contemporary and future-oriented answer to the old town is given. The new monoliths have no rears, but only facades, which makes them unique. Two "city-stamps" show their own identity. The all-round facades can be explored through the alley-system and the corresponding all-round entrance situations.
The monolithic buildings offer a comprehensive usage concept from the underground car park to the roof. Ground floor and first floor are occupied by large individual sales areas. On the roof day starts in the Hanse Carré. A private world of its own. Eight creatively individual, comfortable dwellings, each with a dedicated garden area form a roof top situation with a special charm.
