What was once an overgrown jungle with dated amenities, has been transformed into a family-friendly landscape with simplified and drought-tolerant plantings. In this redesign, the clients were careful to source from local materials.
Screening was important to the client, so we created a hedge along the fence. The wood deck was raised above the pool to create a new upper level lounge space. A waterfall creates ambient noise from the wall into the pool. Clean lines were used to create a classic and refreshing feeling.
We redesigned the garage, entryway, gate, and plantings. Lamb’s ear, grasses, Russian sage, Pittosporum, wood chip mulch, field-grown olive trees, and a new deer-proof fence create a calming entrance with subdued tones.
