A house, its geometry simple yet assertive, finds its place in the New Mexico landscape - solid, stoic concrete walls set gently upon the earth. In this place, we have chosen to frame, to enclose, to highlight fragments of the barren landscape. The muted hues of the surrounding desert - the warm tones of the earth, the deep blues of sky and water - speak softly within the walls, permeating each space with their presence. Each space is shaped with intention, designed to create moments where the land becomes the view, where the view becomes the soul of the space. In this desert sanctuary every opening, has been placed to honor a single aspect of the landscape - a perspective that draws the eye, nurtures the spirit, and connects the residents to the vastness of the desert beyond.
