In 2014, one of the 5th largest and influential architectural practices in the world, Aedas, announced a de-merger into two separate entities. The objective of this de-merger was to have its commercial division focus exclusively on a new emerging archetype. The need for this new type of development has arisen over the last few years, due to rapid migration of people from rural to urban setting. Same have created a demand to have a variety of offers under one roof.

The WTC downtown Port -Louis Project, will act as a catalyst for urban regeneration and pave the way to Port-Louis 2030 Strategic Plan.

The identified structural model is the frame & shape onto which the architectural skin will be applied.
This metamorphosis from structure to architecture should ensure that the end product makes sense & has meaning:

1 - A memorable building is one which has been carefully designed with the end user in mind so as to continually & positively impact on the everyday experience;
2 - Over time, a memorable building, settles into the urban landscape, becomes a part of the view, defines direction, becomes a friendly presence & gets imprinted in the collective memory.
