Dineen Hall is a new 200,000-square-foot facility for the College of Law that anchors
Syracuse University’s West Campus expansion.
The LEED© Gold certified five-story building and the adjacent 60-foot-wide park enhance a major pedestrian circulation route connecting the West Campus to the Main Campus.
A sky-lit central atrium at the main level visibly
links the core elements - library, celebratory space, and ceremonial courtroom – creating a vertical axis that introduces natural light throughout the building. A sculptural stair tower rises within the atrium and provides access to the upper three floors. Classrooms and offices are complemented by a series of casual spaces interspersed throughout the building, encouraging informal meetings. Visible from both inside and outside the building, the ceremonial courtroom signifies the law school’s inherent accessibility and transparency.
