Set within the wild and untouched landscape of Tinos, the residence is conceived as a composition of distinct geometric volumes that respond to the natural topography of the site. The architectural concept is based on the organization of the house into three main volumes, creating a clear separation of functions while maintaining a strong relationship between the architecture and its surroundings.
The elevated white volumes accommodate the private areas of the residence, offering protected living spaces with uninterrupted views towards the Cycladic landscape. In contrast, the stone volumes are more grounded and embedded into the terrain, reinforcing the connection between the building and the natural character of the site.
The residence unfolds across three levels. The central level accommodates the main communal functions — living room, dining area, and kitchen — organized as a unified open-plan space that extends towards the outdoor terraces and the surrounding landscape. The upper level contains two bedrooms, while the lower level hosts three additional bedrooms, providing privacy and a clear functional organization throughout the residence.
A defining element of the project is the introduction of curved geometries as a response to the natural terrain of Tinos. Curved stone walls follow and adapt to the contours of the site, allowing the architecture to integrate more naturally into the existing topography. At the same time, curved forms are incorporated into the openings of the white volumes, softening their strict geometry and allowing the façades to establish a more harmonious dialogue with the surrounding landscape.
The architectural language combines clean lines and pure geometric forms with softer, landscape-responsive curves. The contrast between white plastered surfaces and natural stone creates a contemporary interpretation of Cycladic architecture, while the use of natural materials and earthy tones strengthens the project’s connection to its setting. Through this balance between geometry, materiality, and topography, the residence seeks to become an integral part of the Tinian landscape rather than an isolated object within it.
