The volumetry emerges from a large concrete cube, which is deconstructed to compose the program of the house. The lower portion of the cube, on the ground floor, is subtracted, making the cube hover over the ground sustained by delicate round pilotis. This piece is substituted by a metal strip on recessed sliding doors which can completely open. Within this space are the kitchen and the living room.
On the second floor, the concrete maintains its density, broken only by the openings that reveal the internal spaces of the bedrooms. There are three equal-sized openings, facing the pool and one facing out back, which is the window of the TV room. On the third floor, within the concrete protecting the closet and bathroom, there is an opening in the facade that illuminates the master bedroom. Furthermore, the office is a paving stone subtracted from the concrete cube which leads through the entire floor: an opening that appears from one side to the other. The garden is the site where the cube lies, a cube that holds the house constructed from the deconstruction of the volumetry.
