It’s always a joy to work on apartments from the Yugoslav era — thoughtfully planned, with generous proportions, smart layouts, and plenty of natural light. These homes were built with comfort in mind, and the bones are almost always solid.
This particular project began with a well-structured 1970s family apartment that had, over time, become cluttered with too much furniture and too many forgotten belongings. The challenge was clear: preserve the apartment’s original strengths while transforming it into a functional, calm, and minimalist space fit for contemporary family life.
By stripping away the excess and rethinking the flow of each room, we uncovered what made the apartment special in the first place — its light, its openness, its potential.
The result is a clean, quietly elegant home that feels both new and deeply rooted. A true reset, done with respect.
