This project is located in Chileno Bay, over a rock site that overlooks the ocean. The architectural scheme is resolved as a central courtyard layout, crossed by a strong linear axis that connects the initial experience entering the house all the way to the ocean.
This patio or courtyard helps to organize the program on the sides on ground floor, and the upper floor family bedrooms. Architecture is conceived as a heavy introspective mass or plinth, with directed views to gardens and water features. The ground floor mass starts opening and "dissolving" in form of lattices and light planes vertically, allowing greater site and ocean views.
Materials are planned to be natural and neutral in palette, mimetizing with the environment and allowing native vegetation be the protagonist in this experience.
