Erik Andersson Architects, an architectural firm renowned for their cutting-edge designs, is thrilled to unveil their latest masterpiece: the newly designed Centurion and Platinum Airport Pop-up Lounges at Arlanda Airport. The design combines elegance, sustainability, and functionality to create a travel experience for discerning travelers. Inspired by the fusion of contemporary aesthetics and timeless craftsmanship, Erik Andersson Architects has transformed the airport lounges into havens of luxury and comfort. The highlight of the design is the remarkable 20m long bar with a high window that spans the entire length of the bar, offering panoramic views of the airfield and bathing the space in natural light. The mesmerizing vista creates a serene atmosphere, allowing guests to unwind and enjoy their pre-flight moments. The architectural team has meticulously selected premium materials to evoke a sense of sophistication and warmth. Oak veneer and stainless steel dominate the lounge's interior, exuding a refined ambiance. Intricate carpentry details in the shape of an American Express credit card adorn various elements, paying homage to the collaboration between Erik Andersson Architects and the renowned financial services company.
In line with Erik Andersson Architects' commitment to sustainability, the furniture in the Centurion and Platinum Airport Lounges has been thoughtfully upcycled from earlier lounges. By repurposing and revitalizing these furnishings, the design not only reduces waste but also imbues the space with a unique character and story.
"We are excited to introduce our visionary design for the Centurion and Platinum Airport Lounges at Arlanda Airport," said Erik Andersson, Founder and Principal Architect of Erik Andersson Architects. "Our goal was to create an environment where travelers can feel indulged, inspired, and at ease. The combination of the long bar, the use of premium materials, and the upcycled furniture elevates the lounge experience to new heights.”
