In lack of space in its actual building, the Bagnes municipal administration was in need of new work surfaces to develop its service for the population and taxes department.

The previously unsafe and unhealthy building named "Café des Amis" was elected for a massive transformation in order to develop these municipal services.

​The protected facade on the main village square had to be kept in its original state and stayed standing during the whole construction. Its final aspect had to be the exact same as before the construction.

The floor plan allows as many flexibility as possible in this narrow building with only one structural pillar on each floor.

A special care was given on the common areas with smooth and maintenance easy materials. One big piece of furniture organizes the hallways and hosts storages, benches, signage and all the technical pipes of the building.
