Seton Hall’s Basketball Performance Center is a bold step forward for the university and its commitment to empowering collegiate athletes to thrive.
The center is a three-story addition to the existing Richie Regan Recreation and Athletic Center that equips Seton Hall with one of the finest basketball facilities in the Big East Conference. It will bolster the school’s athletic recruitment and retention efforts amidst an increasingly competitive landscape.
The Basketball Performance Center offers dynamic amenities including a new basketball court, a state-of-the-art strength and conditioning space, a film room, new coaches offices, a players lounge, dining room, a steam and sauna space, and more.
Our design of the center creates a new image for the building as a sort of raised porch overlooking the campus’ Ivy Hill Park.
Given the building’s location at the back edge of Seton Hall’s campus, the design works to announce its presence from afar. A cantilevered section of the building, inspired by the way basketball players seemingly float above the rim, achieves this and shelters the corner entrance.
Inside the building, photos of former Seton Hall basketball players and other nods to the program’s storied legacy further create an immersive experience for athletes.
