The Barnes Foundation’s world-famous art collection has arrived at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia. CGA designed a series of 130-foot long serpentine “ribbons” that wound through the trees on the Parkway and announced the arrival of the new museum. The installation previewed paintings from this world-renowned collection of impressionist and early modern art as well as its unique“wall ensembles” in which Barnes personally combined paintings with metalwork, sculpture and decorative arts.
