Antioch College Village is a proposed cohousing neighborhood in Yellow Springs, Ohio, designed around community, privacy, and long-term resilience. The masterplan brings together attainable homes, shared spaces, and ecological systems rooted in Living Building Challenge principles.
Working with the Antioch College community, we shaped a neighborhood that encourages connection without giving up personal space. Porches, flexible homes, pedestrian paths, and shared landscapes create opportunities for everyday interaction, while the homes draw from the region’s familiar barn and covered-bridge vernacular.
The project pairs social and environmental goals with practical strategies: net-zero-ready homes, rainwater collection, pervious paving, geothermal heating and cooling, native plantings, and pollinator corridors.
At its core, Antioch College Village explores how infill and missing-middle housing can create more diverse, connected, and resilient neighborhoods—while remaining rooted in the character of place.
