Designed as a holiday home for Singapore-based clients, this 2 bedroom villa in Siolim has been fondly christened 'Akari'. The name was chosen for its deep meaning and connection to the mood of the home, the name symbolizing warmth, illumination and peace. While the home owners wanted to borrow from both Balinese and Japanese cultures, being inclined towards Buddhist spiritualism, they wanted the home to be anything but typically neutral-hued. Passionate about blending rich traditions, the home owners sought a space that felt both grounded and vibrant—a place that would harmonize their love for nature with their deep spiritual values. Every corner of the home is designed to foster connection to nature and self, while exuding a feeling of being personalized and lived in.
