STATUS
Concept
This competition focuses on the development of an exclusive residential complex in Abu Dhabi. Up to 120 luxury villas with 4 to 5 bedrooms are to be built in a picturesque beachfront setting. The proposed masterplan aims to create a modern, luxurious yet sustainable residential neighbourhood that harmoniously combines urban living with the surrounding nature. This is to be realised through the establishment of a green core, the seamless integration of green and water areas and the connection to the Khor, among other things.
Villas
Open atriums and skylights allow sunlight to enter directly into the interior of the building, creating a special connection with the ever-changing sky above. Spacious verandas and terraces create a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor areas, while an inner courtyard garden serves as a quiet retreat. Thanks to double-height volumes in the living area, the rooms appear spacious and open. A green wall with lush planting and elegant water features brings nature inside the house and ensures a pleasant indoor climate.
Flexible underground spaces
The villas offer the option of adding a basement. This underground level can be flexibly adapted to individual needs and easily converted e.g. into a garage, fitness room, sauna or home cinema.
Framing the views
The luxurious pool area and the comfortable outdoor lounge are perfect for relaxing and socialising. A stylish pergola provides shade and enhances the outdoor area as an architectural element.
