The Abreu house is formed by a white prismatic volume, supported by another elongated volume that touches the back wall and the right side of the lot. This volumetry is justified by a number of factors, such as sunlight and functionality.
In the ground floor we have the toilet, pantry, laundry and workshop, functions that require closed spaces. Thus, the area opposite to these closet rooms is free and, therefore, lighted and ventilated for socializing. The relationship between these spaces is direct and functional.
On the upper floor, we occupy the entire width of the lot due to the extensive program of requested needs. Even so, to ensure good lighting and lighting, Casa Abreu has a pergola on its roof that allows natural light to enter and reach the ground floor.
The structure and stairs are in reinforced concrete and natural finishes such as wood and stone were used throughout the house.
