How do you create public space that’s both inviting and resilient?
In our winning proposal for the Ribnica River Canyon competition, we designed a modular pedestrian walkway that revitalises an underused riverbank in the heart of Podgorica. The structure adapts to seasonal water levels and varying terrain, while gently guiding people through nature, connecting points A and B from Banja to Skaline.
The intervention integrates platforms for rest, play, and social interaction — all while preserving the lush riverside ecosystem. We transformed the old mill into a multifunctional space with river access and cultural potential, designed in exposed concrete to echo the spirit of old Podgorica homes.
Simple, robust, and deeply contextual — this was a project about bridging more than just geography. It’s about connection.
