The Gardens of the ZEN Residences & Hotel Residential Complex by Architect Svetozar Andreev
Project: Svetozar Andreev Architecture Studio / Hotei-Russia
As an ideological and spatial extension of his Zen Garden residential project, architect Svetozar Andreev has designed a series of private gardens for the entrance area. The gardens serve as an organic component of the architectural ensemble, acting as a threshold between the dynamic rhythm of the metropolis and the intimate, oasis-like atmosphere of the residence in the historical center of St. Petersburg.
The composition centers around evergreen greenhouses, while the interplay of materials evokes the relaxing atmosphere of a high-end resort.
The spatial scenario is built upon the contrast between textured quartzite, dark metal, large minimalist architectural forms, and the expressive graphic quality of the greenery. Together, these elements create a sheltered, atmospheric space filled with air and vegetation—an architecture of absolute tranquility and natural harmony.
