SchilderScholte was founded by Gerrit Schilder jr. (architect, interior architect) and Hill Scholte (interior architect). The work of the office has been published, exhibited and awarded several times worldwide. In 2015 SchilderScholte won the Dutch Design Award in the Habitat category as a successor to Rotterdam Centraal Station, an AZ award and people’s choice in Toronto, and two Finest Interior Awards in Berlin. The office also received a silver medal in the Asia Architecture Award in the Public category in Istanbul. In 2016 followed by a FuturArc Green Leadership Award in Singapore in the Socially Inclusive development category. In the same year, the work was nominated for the prestigious Aga Khan Award for Architecture and in three categories of the German Design Award. SchilderScholte's projects have been exhibited twice during the Architecture Biennale in Venice and in addition in Dubai, Eindhoven, Istanbul, Maastricht, and Paris. The motto "space is emotion" can be sensed in every building and interior of the office, whereby individuality, impact and experience predominate.
