CAA architects is an architectural design firm involved in all aspects of design from urban planning, architecture, interior design, product design, art installation, and more. They are passionate about combining Architecture and Art together and redefine how the two disciplines impact future cities in the era of sustainability and digital technology while making multi-field design practices and interdisciplinary research.
CAA architects was founded by Liu Haowei in 2006. He has set up its headquarters in Beijing and then the offices in New York, Tokyo, and Hong Kong respectively with the concept of Design for Tomorrow. It is now staffed by experienced architects and designers from all over the world, who combine Neo-Futuristic thinking with Oriental humanistic spirit to realize various types of projects on a global scale.
Some of the major projects completed or on-going include Beijing Collaborative Industrial Park, a national key S&T park in 2020; the key project of national “One Belt And One Road”, Maldives Airport Economic Zone, getting the 1st place in international competition in 2018; Yisabu Doko Memorial Park in South Korea, as well as CAFA Qingdao Campus in 2017; Dali Nanzhao Folklore Island tourist complex in 2016; 2012’s charity work for Smile Angel Children’s Hospital; and the interior design of the first Shanghai-Beijing high-speed rail known as the National Business Card in 2009.
