Soft Close Millwork Hardware

We are looking at the Knight Wall System to attach our cementitious backer board too. However I am looking for alternatives. Preferably one that adds less then 3/4" to the wall system. See attached for a detail section on how we are planning on using the system.

I am looking for alternative systems to Laticrete's system to adhere exterior thin brick to the wall (over cementitious backer board). I don't believe a clip system will work because we have a herring bone pattern (let me know if otherwise). See current system attached we are looking to alternates too.
