Into the Woods: 3form Expands Its Woods Series

Just when it seems that decorative panel extraordinaire 3form has exhausted all possible ideas for designs, the company delights and amazes with new offerings. The latest are part of the newly created Wood+ Double-Sided family.

Barque

Whereas the previous Woods collections have replicated slats, natural grains, and laser-cut panels, the new group is all about patterning with dimensionality. 3form achieves this by printing the patterned wood graphics directly onto its proprietary Varia Ecoresin material, on both sides of the sheet, resulting in an intriguing optical effect.

Stroll

Four designs are offered in this collection: Barque is an abstract, crackled line pattern that recalls tree-bark textures. Varied-size, pebble-shaped holes align to form a subtle, nubby stripe in Portal. Sift features stacked rows of matchstick-like wood strips. And Stroll sports randomized strands that evoke tall blades of grass or straw. All four can be specified in White Oak, Gray Oak, Walnut, or Wenge.

Portal

As with all its other Varia Ecoresin products, these panels contain 40 percent pre-consumer recycled content. Available in 1/8-, 3/16-, 1/4-, 3/8-, and 1/2-inch thicknesses, they measure up to 48 by 96 or 48 by 120 inches, making the panels well suited to privacy partitions and screens as well as wall coverings.
