The Oscars of Architecture is back! Architizer is delighted to announce the highly anticipated return of the A+Awards gala, in partnership with Material Bank. This October, the event will take place at the magnificent Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris, a cultural icon renowned for its stunning design by the legendary architect, Frank Gehry. Timed to coincide with Paris+ par Art Basel and the first Design Miami/ Paris edition, the A+Awards gala promises to be one of the premier events for architects and designers in 2023.

The A+Awards gala is a global celebration of the most remarkable achievements in architecture and design. The event, a fitting finale for the 11th A+Awards and a launch party for the upcoming 12th season, will bring together an esteemed community of more than 600 architects and industry professionals to honor the visionaries behind the world’s most innovative buildings and spaces.

The A+Awards gala already has a long and illustrious history, but this year’s event promises to be one of the most remarkable yet. Hosted in Paris, one of Europe’s foremost capitals of contemporary design, the gala will welcome winners and jurors from around the world to celebrate pioneering design and highlight the value of the architectural profession as a whole.

The 11th A+Awards program showcased the finest projects across a wide range categories including residential, commercial, cultural and institutional architecture, as well as urban planning, landscape architecture and interior design. The diversity of this year’s winners was unparalleled, ensuring recognition for both established architects and emerging talents who are pushing boundaries and reshaping the architectural landscape.

The choice of the iconic Fondation Louis Vuitton as the venue is a testament to the awe-inspiring synergy between architecture, art and culture that defines the A+Awards. Frank Gehry’s visionary masterpiece, a celebration of design innovation in itself, has captivated audiences worldwide since its opening, and will serve as a fitting backdrop to honor the groundbreaking achievements of architects worldwide.

As a bonus, attendees will also be granted exclusive access to Design Miami events, as well as a major Mark Rothko retrospective, the first exhibition of the artist’s work in France in the 21st century.

This year’s gala will also feature the announcement of this year’s A+Awards Special Honorees. These accolades recognize influential individuals, firms, or organizations that are leading the way in the field of architecture and have left an indelible mark on the built environment. Special Honorees will include the Firm of the Year, Emerging Firm of the Year, Impact Award, Innovation Award, and — for the very first time — the Sustainability Award for outstanding contributions to sustainable design.

In addition to the award presentations and celebrations, Architizer will unveil the newest edition of its highly acclaimed book, “Architizer: The World’s Best Architecture“. This renowned publication showcases every winning project from the most recent A+Awards season, providing readers with a captivating journey through cutting-edge, transformative architectural designs — each described by the architects themselves.
