Greg Torchio has been designing and building for over 25 years. He spent the first twelve years of his career building what he designed. In 1990, Mr. Torchio moved his firm to Centreville, Maryland where it has evolved based on its philosophy of commitment to serving the local community. Under his direction, the firm has completed well over 800 projects in a wide array of building types and sizes throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Mr. Torchio has been practicing “green” architecture his entire career and recently built a new office building for his firm in Centreville for which he earned LEED Silver certification from the US Green Building Council.
Greg has served on a number of community boards and organizations including: past president of Chesapeake Bay Chapter of American Institute of Architecture (AIA), secretary of the Maryland Society of Architects, past president of Centreville Rotary Club, President and founding member of the Centreville Rotary Club Community Fund, Inc., the not profit group that built the Centreville Rotary House, Board of Directors of Queen Anne’s County Chamber of Commerce, past Chairman of Centreville United Methodist Church (CUMC) Staff/Pastor Parish Relations Committee and is drummer in the contemporary Christian band Reining Mercy. He resides outside of Centreville with his wife, and two of their four children, in a self-designed and built award-wining solar house.
