Rooted in the cultural landscape of Mount Song in Zhengzhou, the project draws inspiration from the enduring relationship between mountains, clouds, and human settlement. These poetic natural references are reinterpreted through a contemporary landscape language, shaping a residential environment that balances memory, nature, and daily life.
The spatial sequence begins with a 52-meter-long entrance defined by sculptural black pines, stone elements, and layered art installations, creating a calm and immersive arrival experience. Inner courtyards establish order and rhythm through symmetrical planting and carefully framed views, reinforcing a sense of ceremony and transition.
At the heart of the site, the central water garden serves as the project’s spatial anchor. Sunken seating areas appear to float above the water surface, connected by winding stepping stones and seamless indoor–outdoor circulation. Seasonal planting introduces subtle changes in light, color, and atmosphere throughout the year, while reflections and views extend into the interior clubhouse, blurring the boundary between inside and outside.
The rear garden is conceived as an inward-looking retreat centered on a sunken courtyard. Corridors link leisure terraces, landscape pavilions, and woodland paths, offering a tranquil yet engaging environment for movement, pause, and social interaction. Together, the project presents a contemporary interpretation of refined living—one shaped by nature, spatial continuity, and everyday rituals.
