The Bamboo Garden is a village where dedicates to creating a holiday mood for people. It is located at the highest point of the Taohuayuan mountain region and overlooks the entire 5667000 square meters of the Land of Peach Blossoms. The mountain is gradually lowered from north to south, and the Bamboo Garden is divided into 10 village-like groups, scattered on the terraced plateaus with lush bamboo forests. Because of the natural fence of the bamboo forest, a large number of south-facing fences appear in the form of low fences. People can observe the mountains and the sky from the rattan chairs in the living room. There is another obvious advantage of this kind of terrace cluster distribution, which almost all courtyard villas can enjoy the vast landscape that can only be possessed by side sets.
The spatial planning of the cluster presents a sense of street and lane, retains the texture of the traditional street, weakens the transition between the inner courtyard and the street. The cost of granolithic concrete slates is only a few dollars more than asphalt roads, but the atmosphere and experience have been qualitatively improved. At the entrance of each group, the village features are used to enhance the sense of homecoming, including small duckweed pools, big trees, scenery walls, and small pedestrian bridges. The design uses simple lines to portray the Chinese style, presenting a simple and low-key personality as a whole. The main facade of the building has many doors and windows and few solid walls. While satisfying the requirements of ventilation and lighting, it also fully considers ‘viewing and borrowing views’ to increase people's participation in the outdoor landscape. In the architectural details, the complicated flying eaves, upturned, carved beams, and painted buildings are eliminated, restoring the simplicity and charm of the Chinese-style living concept. The façade and molding materials replace brick carving with stone materials, which fully enhances the architectural quality and fineness.
