Significance of the project: in the process of rapid urbanization, the majority of villages need a sense of, happiness and security. Architects have the responsibility and obligation to improve the style of the countryside.
Challenges of the project: 1. Xinchang ancient town, a famous historical and cultural city; 2. Beautiful countryside intertwined with rivers and farmland; 3. Problems faced by the countryside (lack of vitality, barracks, fragmentation and chaos).
Design ideas and concepts of the project:
1. Low presence.
With reverence for nature and respect for people, I have always insisted on designing buildings with low sense of existence. She "integrates" rather than "highlights" in the natural and humanistic environment. As a result, buildings and places are reconnected and returned to nature.
Specifically, in the design of point X of Xinchang Town's centralized residential design town and village, we take the humanistic environment of Xinchang ancient town as the leading role, put the buildings of centralized residential towns and villages in the supporting role, and emphasize its integration with the humanistic environment.
2. Small elements.
The boundary of the building is decomposed and hidden into small material elements. Through the gap between them, natural sunlight, air and color can penetrate into the building. Architecture and environment are not separated, but can change with the change of environment.
Architecture also has the same construction logic as nature. It grows from the basic elements, and each individual is connected together to form a whole.
Use small architectural elements and modern technology to integrate the building into the natural environment and make a sound for the land of the new venue. Follow the concept of minimalism and combine tradition with modern creative techniques.
3. Relevance.
The relevance between small elements is my research interest. It decomposes and hides the existence of large buildings and connects buildings with the environment and between buildings and people. This relevance makes me return to the grasp of materials and materials, examine people's needs, and form a natural and warm architecture.
Chinese traditional architecture, including Xinchang ancient town itself, is an aggregation of small patios or courtyard units. The units themselves are small, simple and standardized, but the correlation between units is rich and diverse.
Connecting sites and life, urban and rural, traditional and modern.
Using Shanghai traditional architectural elements, reinterpret the modern "Xinchang village", focusing on the use of natural traditional materials, the lightness of architecture and the revival of tradition. Combine the traditional elements and natural materials with high technology and connect them to the historical context of Xinchang.
By reshaping and paying attention to the natural traditional materials, the architecture presents a sense of rhythm adapted to modern society and a sense of lightness of modern aesthetics, so as to better attract young people from metropolis.
Associate designers and recipients. The design method of "relative material" is not entirely decided by the designer and planner, but by the receiver himself. Specifically: 1. Localization of construction methods; 2. Localization of construction materials; 3. Participation in use functions; 4. Reverse modeling of the building itself and design methods of small elements, emphasizing the participation of the receiver.
