Xiangjiang Bay project sits along the Xiangjiang River in Changsha, transforming its waterfront into an immersive private garden where river, landscape, and home merge. Guided by the concept “Bringing the River into the Garden, Living Above the Riverbend,” the design extends the river’s presence into every corner, creating a continuous dialogue between water, terraces, and living spaces. Sunlight dances across the river, merging reflections with the skyline, setting a serene, poetic stage.
The garden unfolds as a layered, experiential journey. Curved pathways, floating terraces, and reflective pools guide movement while framing views and creating moments of surprise. Subtle geometric alignments unify architecture, interior, and landscape, while minimalist materials and precise detailing enhance calm and elegance. Elevation differences are embraced, forming terraced garden rooms, secluded nooks, and expansive viewpoints that reveal new perspectives at every turn.
Water serves as both medium and experience—flowing canals, mirrored surfaces, and floating pools choreograph circulation, frame vistas, and amplify sensory engagement. Outdoor rooms, terraces, and garden niches encourage exploration, leisure, and reflection, giving residents a slow, immersive rhythm within the urban context.
The project demonstrates how a private garden can transcend decoration to become a living sanctuary. By integrating architecture, interior, and landscape, the project delivers layered spatial experiences, visual drama, and a resort-like serenity. It celebrates the Xiangjiang River, urban surroundings, and refined living, establishing a benchmark for high-end private gardens in the city.
