Project description:
Planning and interior design of a villa from a contractor. The clients are a couple with three young children who purchased the villa on plan and asked to adapt it to their needs.
The ground floor layout is designed around a central cubical core. This core element serves as an entrance, and leads to the different public areas – kitchen, living area, dining area and guest toilet. It is dressed with a custom built and designed bookshelf and storage that brings together all elements. By designing the space this way, we changed the existing kitchen space and added a small dining table for daily use, as well as increasing one of the children’s bedroom size.
In the upper floor we can find the master bedroom, with its on suite bathroom, children’s bedroom, a guestroom, a workroom with a private terrace and a joint bathroom.
In the basement, two residential units were designed. The two units were planned to be independent from the house and allow separate entrance as well as optional access from within the house.
In addition, the general plan incorporated various in-house systems such as an elevator, floor heating, etc.
The project included accompanying the clients in selecting product and various materials, producing a set of plans for the changes to be made by the contractor, supervision and response to the construction team in adherence with the construction plan.
