Workers Memorial
Since 2017 International Architects Atelier has been involved in the development of a new Workers Memorial to honor all the
tradesmen that have lost their lives while building Kansas City. This cause is dear to the hearts of all involved in the design or the actual construction. Several sites were evaluated for the memorial and the team agreed that this particular site provided an excellent view of the city skyline.
We worked with the Owner’s team to decide on site size and the artist selection process. Based on that information several
schemes were prepared and the current scheme represents presents increased parking, sculpture/memorial placement,
congregation area, and a place of quiet reflection.
