Larson & Darby Group was a key member of the design team for the design of the $129M Winnebago County Justice Center. LDG was responsible for the structural engineering, general construction specifications, and the architectural design of the building envelope. This large project opened in the summer of 2007.

The scope of the project includes the following:

1,200 inmate beds

Sheriff’s offices

Courts building with 4 courtrooms

Surface parking for the public (375 stalls) and underground parking for staff (120 stalls)

Firing Range

Security measures meeting current ACA industry standards

Efficient and effective use of floor space
Cost effective and low maintenance building materials
